There are good trips and excellent trips; the May trip aboard the LIR was the latter! The first sight of the boat moored in the Marina set up great expectations and we certainly were not disappointed. The welcome from the staff was warm and, more importantly, efficient. They maintained this standard throughout the trip with excellent seamanship, excellent meals, and ensuring that at no time we needed to ask for anything as they seemed to anticipate our every need. We cannot praise the crew highly enough.

The boat was superb, and the accommodation very comfortable and well set up; again, our every need was anticipated. The diving itself was great fun, even though the navigation skills of some of the divers (namely, me) left a lot to be desired!

All in all, the trip was so enjoyable that we have already booked a return for June 2024. 10 out of 10 in all respects for the trip.

Great to catch up with the team on Saturday. A terrible result made so much better with the great hospitality as always. Always a pleasure to join the VU events team and we are always made to feel welcome and part of the rugby family. See you again soon. Steve D.

I can honestly say that the hospitality run by Victor and the team was absolutely terrific. The informal nature and management of the venue ensured that me and my friends spent real quality time being able to talk to each other. Everyone was so friendly, and the atmosphere was terrific and attention to detail spot on! The girls serving beers could have second careers in Formula 1 pit lanes they were serving the beers so quickly… and the food was delicious! We honestly couldn’t have asked for more… other than a better game on the pitch… It was also great to meet Victor – He was one of my favourite players to watch growing up, and I have fond memories of watching Victor play for England and Bath! Thank you very much for the invite and please do thank both Victor and Becky for my invite. It was a brilliant night and is by far the best dinner on the Rugby circuit.

Great day out on Sunday. Nice relaxed atmosphere, food was very good, the staff took great care of us all throughout the day and there were a few familiar faces...we spent pre and post match with Steve and Lee Hall. Wouldn’t change anything. See you at the Wales game.
